Corn Cake

I saw the Kenny Rogers Corn Muffins in Sonia blog, wanted to try it out, as i bought a new mould, i thought i will use the new mould to try it out to bake into a cake.

Continental Cake

Another recipe which i try out from the recipe book which i bought is the Continental Cake. I use half of the recipe and add in melon seed, in the end, all sink under the cake.

Recipe taken from Romancing with Cakes by Connie Leaw

Ingredients A
8 eggs
210g sugar

Ingredients B
230g cake flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 egg yolks

Ingredients C
10g green tea powder
10g instant coffee powder
100g hot water

Ingredient D
11og corn oil

Method

1. Whip Ingredients A until light and fluffy.

2. Add in cake flour and baking powder in Ingredient B. Mix well. Add in egg yolk. Mix well.

3. Mix Ingredients C until fully dissolved. ADd into mixture of Ingredients A and B.

4. Add in Ingredient D.

5. Pour the mixture into a 8" lined and greased baking tray and bake in oven at 170C for 35 min.

Biscuit Cake

I bought a book from the bookshop for quite sometimes already and have bookmark some recipes but have yet to try it out. One of the recipe that i have wanted to try out is this Biscuit Cake.

Ingredients
200g Soda Cracker (crushed）
120g butter
4 eggs
150g sugar

Method
1. Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy and light.

2. Slowly add in eggs. Mix well.

3. Add in crushed soda cracker last.

4. Pour the batter into paper cups and bake in a preheated oven at 170C for about 30 mins till it is cooked.

Crepe

There's a period when i saw quite a number of bloggers friends eating crepe, but so far i have not try before. Previous sun (18th Sept) , as i was quite free and was thinking of Catherine as i have not see her for quite sometimes, so i gave her a call that morning to ask if she will be available to meetup, she was telling me she's free after 1pm or 2pm, so i told her, i will go over to Johor Bahru and was asking her abt KSL City as i heard about this shopping centre but have not been there before. Catherine and her daughter pick me up at City Sqaure and we went to KSL City. We pass by a bakery shop when we saw this crepe and i was quite excited, so end up, we bought 3 pcs of crepe and as there was no table for us to sit there to eat, we went to the nearby KFC and buy drink and eat the crepe.

Saw on Tuesday news that Philippines having a Typhoon, as friend JG hubby went Manila on a business trip on Monday and JG and their 2nd daughter went with him. Was quite worried when i saw the news that i gave her a call, but she did not answer and send her sms, but also no reply. But was happy to receive a reply sms from her yesterday morning that they are doing fine.

Japanese Cottony Cheese Cake

I have bookmark this Japanese Cottony Cheese Cake from Precious Moments blog for quite sometimes already, but have yet to do it as this require to beat the egg white where i have no confident at first till recently where i have more confident in beating the egg white that i try it out. But not really very satisfy with the result.

姜葱鸡肉

Saw from 键轩惠娘 facebook and her blog she cooked 姜葱猪肉，feel like eating it, so decided to cook it, but i change to chicken. It so happen the day i went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients, i can't find spring onion, so i change to using koo chye and add in oyster mushroom.

Baked Prawn Tofu & 咸鱼肉

Sudden have a craving for tofu and then thought of Let get Wokking Baked Prawn Tofu, instead of water chestnut as i'm lazy to peel it, i replace it with spring onion. As in the recipe, the baking time is 20 mins, i baked at 30 mins as after 20 min, it turn out like not really cooked and i baked for another 10 more mins.
